History
FAMIT was established in Milan in 1960 as a very small artisan workshop producing turned small parts for the last Italian company at the time that manufactured wristwatch cases. This association has always characterised the nature of the company and continues to represent the core of its product policy, namely attention to detail, no matter how small, at any level of the production chain.
Our growth
The growth of the business has been continuous, with constant updates and development of equipment and technology in terms of flexibility and efficiency. Today, FAMIT operates from a 3,500 sqm facility in Carbonate, province of Como, of which 2,000 sqm is covered. In recent years, the company has replaced all cam-operated machines with a fleet consisting solely of CNC automatic lathes with movable spindles and fixed heads, ranging from 4 to 10 axes with diameters from 2 to 65 mm, while maintaining an unchanged production capacity of over 30 million pieces per year.
