Machine park and processing

The current machine park consists of 21 CNC single-spindle lathes: 20 with moving headstocks (Hanwha, Tornos, Tsugami) with diameters ranging from 2 mm to 38 mm and up to 10 controlled axes, along with a Nakamura VT 100 lathe with 7 axes and a bar passage of 42 mm. All the latest-generation machines are networked in accordance with the Industry 4.0 plan requirements.

The fully customised management system was developed in-house at Famit and integrates all technical, production, and commercial aspects into a single platform, from feasibility studies and machine programming to personnel management and the management of raw materials and finished products. This makes our production system highly efficient and extremely flexible.

Famit has a cooling system consisting of 6 intake fans and 4 exhaust fans, allowing for a total air exchange of 108,000 cubic metres per hour. This helps to reduce temperature fluctuations during the hottest months, benefiting process stability and operator comfort.
